The role of a Master of Ceremonies is to
work closely with an event organizer, venue management and catering
staff, and to act as facilitator for the event to ensure that
everything is in place, and runs smoothly, efficiently and on time.
During the event itself, in addition to making all announcements,
presiding over the receiving line, announcing speeches and toasts,
the Master of Ceremonies is a calming influence, remaining
unobtrusive, inspiring confidence, and keeping always a watchful eye
for the little things that need attention for the event to run
flawlessly.
